Founder and CEO
Marcy Reyes is a leader in the finance, academic and health communities. Marcy received her undergraduate degree in Finance from Rhode Island College in 2012, and later went on to receive her Masters in Finance from Northeastern University in 2014'. Marcy serves as adjunct professor at RIC, teaching finance to students who come from diverse backgrounds. Marcy also holds a Director title in the CAST Division at BCBSRI. From her time in finance and academics, Marcy discovered a blatant disparity in how financial literacy resources are allocated. In response, Marcy founded The FLY Initiative to bring much-needed financial literacy programming to underserved and underrepresented youth.
ALEXANDRA CASTILLO
FLY Educator
LOVES MUSIC, A DELICIOUS MEAL AND HER DOG.
Alexandra is a financial educator at FLY. She is the first in her family to not only graduate from high school, but also from college. In 2016, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Gender Studies from the University of Rhode Island, and began her career in education as a Peer Educator there. After graduation, she worked with middle and high school students on gender violence prevention at Sojourner House. Her role at FLY allows her to serve her community and to give students the financial education she wishes she’d had while she was in school.
CHARIS MITCHELL
FLY Educator
COLLECTOR, DABBLER, SPORTS FAN.

Charis is a financial educator at FLY. He grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2019 with degrees in Political Science and Africana Studies. After graduating, he began his career in education at Cuffee Upper School as a teaching partner and temporary 10th-grade English teacher. He’s also worked at Blackstone Academy Charter School where he taught a CIP class called Untitled Unity, and as a senior mentor for the CAAP program at Onward We Learn.
